There’s Never Been a Better Time and it’s Never Been Easier
to get Your Stories to Kids all over the World - with Book Apps!

Hi,
My name is Karen Robertson and I’m the author of the award winning book, Treasure Kai and the Lost Gold of Shark Island. I recently launched “Treasure Kai” as a book app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
In the past few weeks, I’ve been repeatedly asked to write articles and guest blogs about how I’ve done what I’ve done.
I’m finding that articles barely scratch the surface of what you need to know if you are wondering whether book apps are right for your stories. So I’ve decided to write this eBook that tells you everything I wish I would have known before I got started.
It’s a warts-and-all, how-to guide for the non technical children’s story creator. And it’s designed to shorten your learning curve!
If you are an author, writer or illustrator, then keep reading because you’re about to see possibilities that none of us could have dreamed about just a couple of years ago!
Imagine if you could…

And imagine if you could do this with
- None of the printing, binding or warehousing costs that come with a traditional book.
- No shipping costs for your customers.
- No issues with securing a distributor.
- No returns to deal with.
- And earn a higher percentage return than you ever would with a publisher or distributor.
The Biggest Opportunity Available to Children’s Authors,
Writers and Illustrators this Century is Waiting for You…
There are over 15 million iPads and 140 million iPod Touches and iPhones worldwide.
And over 80% of the best selling books on the iPad are kids books?
Imagine if you could reach even the tiniest percentage of the families who have these devices with your own children’s books or stories.
Here’s How You can see if Book Apps are Right for You…

“The Guide for Children’s Authors, Writers and Illustrators Wanting to Turn Stories into Book Apps – Written by an Author for Authors”

In this eBook, I tell you Everything I Wish I Would have
Known before I Turned my Book into a Book App for Kids.
This guide is for authors, writers and illustrators who are wondering if producing their book as a book app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch is an option for them.
After reading this e-book, you’ll know:

Here’s why I’m so excited about this new format…
My passion is to find new ways for kids to engage with reading.
My original book was a twist on the books where you choose the adventure. It sends kids on a treasure hunt for gold and features eight 3D plastic treasure chests that hold little toys that are clues to finding a gold treasure.
I originally chose to self publish my book because it was a unique format and I wanted speed to market.
Even with all the research I did, nothing prepared me for the reality of seeing my delivered books in the warehouse!
Here I am with 4,000 copies of Treasure Kai.
The reality of having a physical book hit me and I spent the next two years doing school author visits and selling my book directly. I’ve absolutely loved selling my books this way but there were only so many school visits I could do and I was limited to the Sydney area, where I live.
I was in a position where most of my books were sold and I wanted to not only reprint them but also to publish the second book in the series. I was looking at a big cost. And I was troubled. I knew that my book had global appeal. But I wondered how I could share it with the kids of the world. When I saw the iPad for the first time in June 2010, I knew I’d seen my answer.
Because with a book app:
1.I knew I’d found a way to take my passion for interactive storytelling to a whole new level with touch, sound and animation.
2. I knew I could reach a global market without having to worry about international warehousing and shipping.
3. And I knew I could produce more books in the series more frequently than I ever could have with a hard copy book.
Now, I sell books all over the world – to nearly 20 countries in the first month alone.
Kids can download “Treasure Kai” from anywhere, in their own currency and have access to the book app immediately. And the Apple App Store manages everything.
Apple keeps 30% and I keep the other 70% of the revenue.
I can’t express enough what a game changer a good quality book app can be for writers and illustrators.
If you think you’d like to know more about this market and whether or not it’s right for you, download “Author’s Guide to Book Apps” today.
Learn what you need to know to make the decision and learn what steps you can take to make your book app happen.

Thanks and treasure reading!
